A New Roads Christmas

Beginning the Christmas holiday is a favorite tradition for some many families. Where else can you go in the Deep South and experience a "Charles Dickens"atmosphere? New Roads has the warmth of its people, the history and scenery of its beautiful city, and the joy and excitement of the food, music, shopping and fun that is here. Walking down Main Street in New Roads during the Christmas season is like stepping into a wonderful book. Come for the Christmas parade, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree and our annual bonfire.

Market at the Mill

The Cotton Seed Oil Mill is a cultural icon in the City of New Roads. For many years, the nearly 40,000 square foot building lay idle until 4 years ago when our Mayor decided it needed to be put back to use. The wide open floor plan lends itself perfectly to many type of events. Thus, in the Spring of 2011, Market at the Mill was born. In only its first year, the Market was a resounding success and continues to grow each year by leaps and bounds.
